Fall Reading
Programs

Check below for the days and times of your programs.
___________

Mommy & Me

Newborn through two years of age

 Monday mornings from 10:30-11:30 am.
If you have questions please call the library at 765-536-2335.

No program will be held on October 15th or October 22nd

Socialization is just one of the benefits of our infant class, but we also focus on early literacy skills. From the time they are infants, children learn language and other important skills that will help them learn to read. We try to develop these skills by incorporating reading, singing, signing and play into our class.

Toddler Corral

3 to 4 years of age

Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
If you have questions please call the library at 765-536-2335.

No program will be held on Nov. 13th or Nov. 27th

In the “Corral”, we try to develop interest in reading by “shared reading”. We discuss the book cover and try to predict what the book is about. We ask the children questions about the book as we read. Our toddlers will also sing songs, do a little activity and have a small snack at the end of the class.

“The Sprout Readers Program”

Thursdays from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
If you have questions please call the library at 765-536-2335.

No class will be held on October 25th or November 22nd

The Sprouts Reading Program is where we will be learning about colors, shapes and discovering the world around us! We will be providing small snacks for the Sprouts, along with an environment that prepares them for their first year at school.

 “Goosebumps”

(this is not a scary program)

This program is for kindergarten–6th grade students.

Mondays from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.
If you have questions please call the library at 765-536-2335.

No class will be held October 15th or October 22nd

We read a story, learn things about the world around us, have an activity and a small snack each week. We will work to complete requirements to earn invitations to a special party at the end of the 11 week program.

“2018”

Adult Programming

“Young Adult Program”

7th to 12th grade

This class is offered on the first Monday of each month from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. The program will be different each month. You will do some sort of volunteering at each program, so you will be able to list “volunteering at your local library”, as a community service on your work and college applications.
Some things we will do: collect food for the Hope Center, make crafts for someone or for use at the library, and this fall we will make wreaths and center pieces. Come have fun with your friends and earn community volunteer hours!

No program will be held in January, May, August or September.
